Storage Solutions

Let's face it, if you are a lover of die cutting, you know that these wonderful little metal things aren't cheap and they need care!

For me, keeping them in mint condition is a priority seeing they cost a pretty penny.  The Stampin Up die sets come in a sturdy plastic sleeve which is great but are stuck down with reusable tacky glue on a sleeve of cardstock.  I found this to be a challenge to get the dies unstuck each time and eventually the 'sticky' became less effective.

Many crafter who have multiple collections of these use large magnetic sheets to store and sort their sets.  I've bought some from the $2 shop and other craft stores to use.  They are great but one of the best ones I've used so far is a large magnet I got from our 'local member' in the letterbox at Christmas time with a calendar printed on it!

These things are super strong and hold the dies in place really well which protects them from warping.

I hope that this cheap and easy Storage Solution becomes an 'ah-hah' moment for someone out there in the crafting world.  Check your fridge, you may already have some hiding on the side waiting to be used!  I did use some adhesive and stuck my magnet back onto the original cardstock that the magnets were attached to - it fits perfectly into the sleeve ready for the shelf.
Happy Stamping, Rachael xxx

  1. Lockers are a good choice so that employees feel like they can take more than a small bag to work. When it comes to selecting a storage unit it can be difficult to determine which material is right for you and your space. Metal storage units are a wonderful option. They are a lot more environmentally friendly as they are manufactured from reusable materials. Fast Office Furniture offers a wide range of metal storage units providing ultimate durability and functionality.
