Global Monthly Video Hop - Christmas in July - PDF FREEBIE

 Hi there crafters and welcome to a special edition to our Global Monthly Video Hop!  This is a bonus video hop with a Christmas in July theme.  Pop over to my video and then join the team as we show off some fabulous projects including cards that will inspire you to get your Christmas creativity sorted and organised early this year.  

My project was a little treat box, perfect for sitting on the table on Christmas day or perfect package to hold a gift (I'm thinking jewellery!).  I've used the Woodland Wishes stamp and some colouring, finishing off with some ink blending.

Global Monthly Video Hop (June)

This month over on Youtube, the Global Monthly Video team have chosen to highlight techniques that can be used to up the level of your creativity in cardmaking and papercrafts.  I chose to show off the masks that match the Enduring Beauty bundle but with a twist....  I've used the hexagon punch to create panels to mask onto.  

Using the new Country Woods DSP for my colour inspiration, I chose soft colours to use for my masking and then added extra inking to the outer corners of my hex shapes.

Catalogue Launch Party!!!

 How exciting, the new 2022 Jan-Jun mini catalogue is now live and I'm lucky to be representing again in a fabulous series of videos highlighting the new products, alongside other Demonstrators from around the world.  I'm grateful to Stefanie, the crafty medic, for the opportunity to join along in the fun.

I created a very simple covered notepad using the new IN THE MOMENT stamp set and used the PATTERN PARTY designer series paper which is a Host exclusive jumbo set of papers in fabulous cheery colours with a backside of black and white prints.  You can purchase this when you Host an event (in person or online).  See them HERE.

What did I create???

Did you catch my YouTube colouring?  

Here is what I created using the finished coloured image.  This is my niece, and she is turning 2 this week.  This frame will find its way to their house soon, I hope they like it.  She is adorable so the image as easy to use as an embellishment. 

I used a combination of the hydrangea suite and some other items to create this.  

I hope this inspires you to look beyond the page (or card front) and use images for embellishing something as simple as a layout in a frame.

Youtube Colouring series Part 2

 We are back with another Wednesday YouTube video of me colouring.  Anyone give the layering of inks a go?  It takes practise and I suggest giving some of the larger images a try first but really, its all about the learning, and there are no mistakes!  

This weeks video features some colourful and happy sheep!

 Did you manage to watch my video from the 24 hours of cards?

Here is some photos of my card, using a great combination of Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Basic White.  

Yes, its a shaker card!  As you've seen, I love a shaker element on a card and this tutorial shows how to create one using dies to cut out your frame.  

The dimensional strips made this an easy shaker to put together, the perfect width.  

And all the tiny elements inside were cut using dies from the Sweet As A Peach Suite.  

Don't you just love the touch of silver  the foil cardstock and sequins adds?

24 hours of cards!!!

 

Yes you read that right, I am participating in a great line up of demonstrators from around the world to present 24 cardmaking videos over the whole 24 hour period that is World Card Making Day.  Its not Australian time so will start later in the day for us.  I'm on the latter end of the line up too so mine won't be going up until Sunday our time.  

I can't wait to see what all the other 23 demonstrators create.  Come along and watch the videos and spend some time creating this weekend.

YouTube Colouring Series! Part 1

 I'm happy to announce that I will be filming a series of videos of my colouring in using Stampin Blends.  All videos will be uploaded on the next several Wednesdays and will feature sped up footage of my process to colour an image.  I've done a lot of learning along the way and the only way I could truly work out how others got a good image with depth and great blending, was to watch and learn.  

Todays video features a Christmas set from the Christmas themed mini catalogue called Delivering Cheer.  

I'm hoping that these videos help someone to take the plunge and invest in some colours to play with, and to find the joy that comes from making an image come to life with a bit of ink.
