Global Design Project

After my forced break, I've popped back into some challenges.  I created the following card, using a sketch from Global Design Project.  I'm so pleased I jumped in and got the creativity flowing again.

Using some retiring DSP and stamps, this card was quick and easy to put together thanks to the sketch.
Happy Stamping,

Global Design Project #298

I wanted to do a little more 'freestyle' stamping for this latest challenge.  I've used Hyderanga Haven stamps for this card as well as a combo of coloured inks that I feel mix well together.
It's a simple card really, with some tone on tone stamping using the tiny stamps from the set.
Inks used: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay.
Thanks for popping by, I'm working on editing a video for the process of making this card and will pop a notice up later when its done.  It may give you a good laugh and give you some insight into my brain when I'm crafting; its a little hectic!
Happy creating,

Double up on challenges

I set out this morning to create 2 cards, for 2 challenges.    I just couldn't make the ideas separate, so they melded into the one card instead. Funny how things turn out. So here is my card that matches both the Global Design Project 'Garden' theme and all the sketch from TGIF challenges for this week.

I used Simply Elegant for the background stamping and then my favourite succulent stamps for the image.

As a side note, my phone has been dropped and the lens cover smashed.  It means my photos aren't the best despite some editing.  I'm not happy and now have to find the time to get it fixed!

Happy creating,

Rachael xx

Thank you Global Design Project Team!

The coffee challenge from last week made me a winner over at Global Design Project.  They always have the best challenges and certainly keep the inspiration going with the samples the team produce.  Check them out by clicking on the image above.
Here was my entry again:

Global Design Project: Hot Drinks

I've had mini coffee cups in my stash for a while and I've wanted to make a quick birthday coffee cup with card, so this challenge was perfect to push me to finally use them.

I've used the Ornate Garden DSP, which is gold foiled and very pretty.  I use a fancy fold card with the circle tag to hold the card closed.

Birthdays are really the best days.  Pop over to GDP and join the challenge too:

Global Design Project #261

This week over at Global Design Project, the challenge was to use the above 3 colours.  Finally, a colour challenge where I actually own all the colours!

I used the Forever Fern stamp set for this one and die cut the leaf and blossom images.  The sentiment is from the same set.

A simple card finished with some whisper white seam binding ribbon, which is lovely in real life.  I have to admit, I wasn't sure that these colours would go well together but I really like the final result.

If you haven't been over to their page, pop over and join in the fun of a challenge.  Click on the challenge image at the top of this post to be redirected.

Happy stamping, Rachael xx

Global design project #255

This weeks challenge is trees and leaves.

I used a newly purchased leaf die by couture designs.

This one took a few attempts to get the right placement of embellishments but I think turned out pretty enough… gotta love a touch of bling 💕
