New @ SU Fontastic

 Hi there crafters

Its great to be joining the team again for a fun hop.  This months theme is "FONTASTIC", where we take all the fonts that are currently in the Stampin Up shop and create with them.

I'm a huge fan of type-face heavy cards and as soon as I heard this was our theme, I couldn't wait to use the Hot Foil System to create a collection of alphabet cut outs to create a card.  The foiling really makes a standout!

I've used silver foil on black cardstock to create the Hi, Hey, Hello.  I paired it with the Notes of Collage collection and Petal Pink.  I love that the new Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies give a great panel to feature on a card!

I used some ink blending to soften the white cardstock diecuts and then finished off with some white acrylic paint splattering.  The texture from the Softly Woven 3D embossing folder is featured in every second project I'm making at the moment, the canvas like effect works well with pretty much any colour!

I can't wait to hop along with you and explore all the types of projects the team has in store for us this month.

Please make sure you leave a little love for them all too ;)

Happy Stamping,

Rachael

Monochrome Cards - Stamping with Friends theme

Today I am hopping with the Stamping With Friends group and I'm excited to share my card, using the new stamp set and dies  in the Grassy Grove Bundle, found in the new Mini Catalogue.  I've loved this set since I first flipped through the catalogue and have waited a long time for it to get here.

I chose orange as my monochrome colour, adding Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie to my blending brushes to create my background and added the deer and grass with Tuxedo Black before layering on the die cut forest.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for popping by my blog, be sure to hop along to the others as well and leave some feedback for everyone.
Happy Stamping,
Rachael xx
