Stamping with Friends - Bloggers Choice

Hi there crafters, I'm excited that we have a Bloggers Choice theme this time around!

I've been waiting to create this card, as its been sitting in my head for a while. I've had the Festive Cheer bundle since it became available on Preorder.  I love the idea of baubles of all different colours!

You can also see a peek of the new Hot Foil System die called Swiss Dots.... a classic and understated background that was perfect for this card.  I've paired it with Secret Sea and Golden Glow.... simplicity!

I was so happy with how quickly this came together and love the background tone on tone stamping in Golden Glow which finished it off!

I'm keen to see what the rest of the group creates for this hop, a bloggers choice theme is always full of surprises and inspiration.

Be sure you hop along to the rest of the blogs, leave a little love in the comments.  I'm sure you will be full of ideas ready for your next crafting session.

Happy Stamping,
Rach x

New at SU!- creating with our new Incolours! (May)

Welcome to the NEW AT SU! blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing the new In Colour range that has been released with the newest catalogue.

I was so excited to see a favourite and very sentimental colour come back amongst this collection, and that was Pretty In Pink! Alongside the other 4, this was actually one of the very first colours I purchased as a customer and new stamper about 17 years ago! So whilst pinks are not my go to choice, I’m most definitely connected to this one!

My card features:

  • Attention Shoppers Stamp Bundle (stamps and dies)
  • 2024-2026 Current Catalogue 6x6 DSP
  • Pretty In Pink edged ribbon
  • Silver Foil Card stock
  • Basic White thick Card stock
  • Basic Black Card stock
  • Pretty in Pink ink
  • Memento Black ink
  • 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems (adorable!!!)
  • 2024-2026 In Colour Stampin Blends in Shy Shamrock, Pretty In Pink, Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Peach Pie

The blog hop list is below, please pop over to see the other projects!

Blog Hop Index

Thanks for popping by!  I couldn't help myself, I even created a bonus project for my first hop... a slider locking box!  Did you see it in the photos?

And yes, I recreated it for a YouTube tutorial.  I'd feel honoured for you to pop over and have a look.... I think I will be making these, adjusting the size and design over and over because they are such a fun but relatively simple mechanism to put on a project.  And I'm all about simple as much as possible.

Happy creating,
Rach xx

colour INKspiration #102

What an adorable image!  Am I right?  I knew that this would be a challenge, because it would end up being monochromatic.  This card was one of those where you have to 'trust the process'...
Here is my interpretation of this challenge, using the wonderfully bright Polished Pink from the new In Colours.  I love this stamp!  I did cut off 2 of the animals mainly because it didn't fit in the size I wanted.
As always, a bit of versamark stamping on my background cardstock, as well as the dotty embossing folder features, isn't it subtly perfect? I can't wait to see everyone else's interpretation of this challenge.
Happy stamping,
Rachael

Sunday FB challenge - sketch

Another week- another challenge.  LOVED doing a sketch challenge although I admit, I got carried away and turned it on its side then it became a background!

I've used Birthday Chick stamp set - so cute.
Colour combo of: Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral and Soft Succulent.

Happy crafting everyone,

Color INKspiration challenge #101

I finally got around to creating for this wonderful challenge.  A huge congratulations to the team for it being their 100th challenge too from last week, I missed the deadline for that challenge due to life being too busy (thanks report card season!).
Here is my entry using these beautiful softer colours.

I loved this combination so much.  And I knew exactly what I was going to do with it as soon as I saw the image.  I'd love for you to leave a comment and let me know what you think of this challenge and my entry. There is still a little bit of time to join in ;)
Happy stamping,

A 15 minute card

I challenged myself to create a fast card the other morning.  You see, I don't get loads of time to create.  I try to make sure it fits in with work and family.

So the other morning, less than half an hour is all I had.  I pulled out the trusty stamp set "Queen Annes Lace" to use because it always gives a great result for little effort.  Talk about simple stamping!

I used Versamark ink to do the background.  The designer series paper is the new In Colour collection of 6x6 papers, I chose pale papaya.  A quick ink of the background using my blending brush and then stamped over the top to create the image.

I'm happy with the results for such a little investment of time.
Happy creating everyone,
Rachael xx

Slimline card

a

Can you believe this is my first ever slimline card. I know its been a trend for a while but the JUST ADD INK challenge pushed me to give it a go. I'm so glad I did!

I've used Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Seafoam and Granny Apple Green for this card.

The sweet strawberry stamp and punch bundle made for a pretty and very easy card to assemble.  I used Stampin Blends for the colouring and kept the embellishment simple with the punched out images.
Of course, I missed the deadline to upload this card but that's ok.  It was so much fun!
Happy stamping,
Rachael xx
