Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to this months challenge with the Crafty Collaborations team.  This month is a colour challenge and look how pretty this combination is!  I struggled to choose which stamp set to use because I had so many ideas!

Here is my projects, a farewell card for a work colleague.  I chose the Country Flowers stamp set and focused more on the two colours Bubble Bath and Azure Afternoon.

Main Products I've used in this project include:
  • Country Flowers Stamp Set
  • Eyelet Embossing Folder
  • Spotlight on Nature dies
  • Cardstock and Stampin Blends from the challenge colours
Please take the time to pop over to the other wonderful posts from the team - their blogs are full of inspiration!

Secret Sketches of SU!

Psst... want in on a secret?  Want fabulous inspiration?  Have you seen the sneaky sketches in the new catalogue?  Check out our newest NEW AT SU! Blog hop and prepare to be inspired!

We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing those fabulous little sketches found in the new catalogue.
I had a really difficult time choosing the sketch I wanted to use, so I've taken inspiration from this one:
The flowers and frames 12x12 DSP is a special paper pack, not only are the prints and colours stunning but it comes with so many punched out elements to use also.
The Cane Weave 3D embossing folder makes for a lovely textured backdrop to show off the 3 bordered panels of this DSP.  I've added a sentiment (heat embossed) to a circle cut from the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
Using the sketch made this card very easy to assemble!  I've added my own touches to the layout with additions of matting, bling and additional diecut elements to embellish but the idea is the same as the basic sketch.

I hope you join the team and hop along to the others in the group, the inspiration from their projects will only be the jumping point for you to create. Also check out the other sketches in the catalogue and keep an eye out for where the designers have used these in the samples photographed so beautifully within the pages.

Happy Stamping,

Scrapbook Sunday Blog hop

Hey there, this last month has really flown and all of a sudden, its time for another scrapbooking blog hop.  Full disclosure, I've had this photo printed for a whole year!
When the Country Woods DSP came out, I just knew it would be perfect for a layout.  I've cut up each 'plank' of wood and distressed the edges for even more texture on my page.

There are several layers on this page and I love how the Thoughtful Wishes Bundle came into play to add the 'nature' elements to match the photo taken at a great park we visit regularly.
This page is an 8x8 layout.  If you are new here, you won't know that I have been scrapbooking for a long time and this smaller size not only fits my style (less photos, trying to keep more white space and use Stampin Up card-making supplies) but is super cute to display on an mini easel.

Be sure to pop over to the other demonstrators who are a part of this months hop, be inspired and leave some love for them too.

Happy Stamping,

Global Monthly Video Hop (June)

This month over on Youtube, the Global Monthly Video team have chosen to highlight techniques that can be used to up the level of your creativity in cardmaking and papercrafts.  I chose to show off the masks that match the Enduring Beauty bundle but with a twist....  I've used the hexagon punch to create panels to mask onto.
Using the new Country Woods DSP for my colour inspiration, I chose soft colours to use for my masking and then added extra inking to the outer corners of my hex shapes.
This project and how to make it is over on Youtube.  Please pop over there and follow along the hop - there is always loads of inspiration from the team...

Happy creating,
Rach xx
